Introducción

Desmontamos este iPod el 7 de septiembre de 2007.

    • Apple envía dos iPod nuevos el mismo día y desarmamos dos iPod nuevos el mismo día (bueno, al mismo tiempo).

    • Titulamos esta imagen, "a la altura del desafío".

    • Un adaptador de conexión, para ajustarse a diferentes grosores entre los modelos de 80 GB y 160 GB.

    • El clásico de 80 GB y el video de 30 GB en paralelo. Tienen la misma huella, pero el Classic logra ser más delgado y contiene más.

    • El frente es de aluminio anodizado y está ligeramente biselado en contraste con la parte superior plana de plástico del Video.

    • Aquellos de vosotros que llevéis la cuenta notaréis que nos tomó un tiempo entrar en este. ¿Porqué preguntas? Al igual que con su placa frontal, el Classic cambió las pestañas de plástico por unas de metal. Las nuevas pestañas se enganchan de manera mucho más efectiva, lo que hace que sea más difícil abrir la carcasa.

    • La batería ocupa la mayor parte del espacio del Nano, pero en el Classic, el disco duro es el rey.

    if the hard drive is a small gb the version it is so in this case the ipod should be 2nd or 3rd generation.

    • Nos sorprendió encontrar una nueva placa de metal detrás de la pantalla. ¿Quizás se colocó allí para apoyar la pantalla, haciendo menos probable una rotura?

    • Aquí están todas las partes y piezas. Algunas cosas a tener en cuenta:

    • La batería es exactamente la misma que la del Video de 30 GB.

With the Retirement of the iPod Classic this month, the repair-ability factor is going to get some scrutiny. Apple made a fully-repairable device here (strangely, IKR?), that given it's simplistic design, will probably be in use deep into the next decade. No Matter what your streaming music provider is, there is a hard-point on taking 40K songs with you offline, to mix and playlist in whatever way you want. Without Ads, without interruption, anywhere, any time, whether there's WiFi or not, rain or sunshine, airplane or train, city center or the remote outback, if it has battery power, you're set to play tunes! Bluetooth? Don't need it. The iPod was the gold-standard of music players in a very reasonable price-category. Sure you get some insane music players now, at equally insane prices, but the humble iPod classic remains king of the road.

You need to do it step by step not just do it behind the camera because I don't know how to disassemble this iPod.

I recently bought an inexpensive Bluetooth transmitter that plugs into the bottom connector of my Classic. This means I can now use it with a portable Bluetooth speaker, as it's now quite hard to find a speaker that takes a mini jack. I have to say that connected wirelessly to the Tribit Stormbox micro 2 speaker the sound has been a revelation.
